Restoration Wilderness Therapy

Restoration WIlderness Therapy is an annual outdoor retreat with formerly incarcerated parents and their children. We believe nature can be one of the most healing and rewarding environments for growth, trust, and compassion within our community. As part of Down North’s committed effort to reduce recidivism and uplift our community, we bring parents and children together to experience and learn from the great outdoors. We aim to create a haven in the wilderness, building a space for bonding, resilience, open dialogue, and nature’s cathartic capabilities. We use this moment to also practice positive habits like meditation, exercise, survival skills, and vulnerable conversation.
